In Nigeria, long lasting insecticidal nets (LLINs) are distributed through mass distribution campaigns and routine distribution — to reach the most vulnerable groups — as well as through the private sector. Malaria Consortium's Support to National Malaria Programme (SuNMaP) project aim to achieve universal net coverage by strengthening the LLIN commercial market.

This learning paper details the challenges facing the commercial sector in Nigeria and SuNMaP’s unique approach to working with LLIN manufacturers and distributors, as well as with state governments and the National Malaria Elimination Programme.

This paper is part of a series that provides learning on SuNMaP’s activities, including: capacity buildingdemand creation, and harmonisation of malaria control.
