Digitalisation
Digital approaches and tools have a key role to play in ensuring that communities have better access to affordable, quality health services. Digitalisation can facilitate real-time access to health information and improve data quality — enhancing the quality of community health provision, as well as knowledge and use of health services among communities. Digitalisation can also increase health workers’ productivity and support governments to make informed decisions about resource allocation.
Surveillance
Surveillance — the systematic and ongoing collection, collation, analysis, interpretation and timely dissemination of data to decision makers — is a critical component of strong health systems. We generate evidence by combining health-related surveillance data from country programmes with high-quality monitoring and evaluation of research and implementation programmes. Our efforts actively guide decision-making, empower decision-makers to manage programmes more effectively and promote stronger health systems overall.
Resilient systems
Resilient health systems save lives. We work with governments to strengthen essential services, support frontline health workers and improve access to health services for those most at risk.
