Ending malaria and other preventable, treatable diseases requires collective action — no single organisation can do it alone. Our impact is strengthened through strategic collaboration with national governments, partners, community members, donors, the private sector and, crucially, the communities we work with. Together, we are addressing critical skills gaps and, by pooling our resources and expertise, we are strengthening health system resilience to future threats.

By combining lived experience, technical expertise and shared resources, we can better address the health inequities that leave some populations at greater risk of illness due to limited access to essential health services. This includes women, especially during pregnancy, children under five, people living in remote or hard-to-reach areas, refugees and internally displaced communities, and mobile and migrant populations.

Strategic partnerships

Health outcomes are shaped by factors beyond healthcare alone — such as education, environment and infrastructure. Malaria Consortium collaborates with strategic partners, including global funders, governments, research partners and the private sector to deliver high-impact, evidence-based health strategies and interventions.

Locally led ownership

National ownership of health programmes is the foundation of sustainable health outcomes. Local ownership fosters accountability and alignment with national priorities — ensuring that interventions are more effective, equitable and sustainable in the long term.

Collaborative knowledge-sharing

Sharing knowledge, lessons learnt and best practices is vital to building resilient, sustainable health systems that can respond to the threat of infectious diseases. By strengthening collaboration across countries, disciplines and sectors — and ensuring timely access to data and evidence — we can accelerate progress towards elimination of malaria and other diseases.

Find out how we’re helping to build resilient health systems by sharing knowledge across countries, disciplines and sectors.
