Harmonisation of malaria control in Nigeria

Publication Date:
22/08/2014
Author:
Malaria Consortium
Type:
Learning paper

Since 2008, the Support to National Malaria Programme (SuNMaP) project has been strengthening the national effort to control malaria in Nigeria through harmonising efforts by local, national and international partners. This learning paper summarises the project’s challenges, as well as successes — such as leading a unified nationwide long lasting insecticide net campaign and standardising training modules for health workers.

This paper is part of a series discussing lessons learnt through various SuNMaP activities: capacity building, demand creation, harmonisation of malaria control and cross-cutting work in the commercial sector.
