COMDIS-HSD is a Research Programme Consortium (RPC) funded by the UK government. The purpose of the consortium is to improve delivery of basic health services, particularly for communicable diseases. It aims to increase demand for, access to and quality of prevention and care for common diseases, especially in underserved populations, such as urban slums, marginal rural areas, migrant populations and fragile states. The consortium seeks to influence policy and practice through conducting high quality operational research and facilitating research uptake. Malaria Consortium is one of eight partners in the consortium, which is led by The Nuffield Centre for International Health and Development at the University of Leeds.
