Assessing and addressing barriers to the uptake of intermittent preventive treatment in pregnancy in Uganda

Publication Date:
12/11/2013
Type:
Project brief

This project studied demand and supply side barriers to the uptake of intermittent preventive treatment in pregnancy (IPTp). Based on the findings of the formative research, an intervention was developed and piloted. The intervention is currently being evaluated to assess whether the barriers have been addressed and how it can contribute to meeting IPTp coverage targets in Uganda.
