Strengthening service delivery for malaria in pregnancy: A mobile health pilot intervention in West Nile, Uganda

To address key barriers to the uptake of intermittent preventive treatment for malaria in pregnancy (IPTp), Malaria Consortium developed a pilot intervention that trained health workers on malaria in pregnancy. Following the training, they received text messages reinforcing the training content, with a focus on IPTp provision according to the World Health Organization’s recommendations.
