Translating the Ugandan electronic Community Health Information System (eCHIS) into Luganda has proved to be acceptable to village health teams and has increased users' ability to correctly assess for malaria.

Malaria Consortium has supported the Uganda Ministry of Health to translate the eCHIS from English into the local language and has conducted research to evaluate its usability and acceptability to village health teams in Buikwe province. This presentation describes the translation development process, research methodology and key results, including qualitative feedback.

This presentation was given at the Global Digital Health Forum 2024, held in Nairobi, Kenya.
