Strengthening Uganda’s preparedness against arboviral threats

Resources: Project brief

We are establishing a robust arboviral surveillance system as well as running training programmes and public awareness campaigns to bolster Uganda's defences against mosquito-borne viruses.

Despite a strong legacy of arbovirus research, Uganda has yet to develop robust systems to protect against the increasing threat of arboviral diseases. This project targets high-risk regions within Uganda, where it will rectify gaps in arbovirus surveillance and preparedness through a multipronged approach that includes enhancing surveillance, diagnosis, response strategies and community engagement.

Read more about our objectives and the activities we will be carrying out in the project brief.
