The introduction of a new registration book reduced the time taken to capture essential health information.

The Strengthening malaria surveillance for data-driven decision making in Mozambique project was implemented by Malaria Consortium from 2019-2022, with the technical leadership of the National Malaria Control Programme to strengthen malaria surveillance and establish a culture of data use at all levels of the health system.

Consultation registration tools and where to store them, were an issue regularly faced by health facilities using the malaria surveillance system. The introduction of a new registration book reduced the time taken to capture essential health information, as well as new storage facilities to make it easier for staff to store the records and easily undertake monthly reports.
