Monitoring and evaluating insecticide-treated net campaigns in Ondo and Anambra states

Malaria Consortium has worked with national and state malaria elimination programmes in Nigeria to distribute and evaluate nets treated with a pyrethroid insecticide and synergist combination that enhances insecticidal efficacy.
In December 2021 and August 2022, we distributed nearly 3 million and 3.8 million nets containing alpha-cypermethrin and piperonyl butoxide (PBO) in Ondo and Anambra states, Nigeria. Alongside the distribution campaign we have been evaluating the epidemiological and entomological impacts and outcomes, and monitoring the overall costs.
