USAID’s Malaria Action Program for Districts assess the current knowledge, attitudes and practices of malaria prevention and control in five regions in Uganda.
USAID’s Malaria Action Program for Districts (MAPD) developed a multi-pronged social behaviour change communication campaign based on collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Communication for Health Communities project, and insights into community drivers of change through its contextual analysis of districts. This report outlines the success of the third phase in reaching the objectives of increasing pregnant womens' awareness of the dangers of malaria and increase uptake of diagnosis and treatment of malaria in pregnancy.
