Malaria molecular surveillance project
Published:
Resources: Project brief
By characterising the prevalence of malaria parasites with resistance to drugs and diagnostics in refugees arriving in Uganda, Malaria Consortium and project partners aim to understand the risks of imported resistance.
Malaria Consortium and project partners will conduct comprehensive molecular surveillance of malaria parasites in refugee populations to generate high quality molecular, epidemiological and entomological data for monitoring geographical and temporal trends. The information obtained will inform interventions to protect refugee and local host populations.
