Malaria Consortium supported the South Sudan Ministry of Health to scale up digitalisation of long-lasting insecticidal net (LLIN) distribution across four states, strengthening local ownership, engagement and accountability.
South Sudan has prioritised digitalisation to support attainment of universal health coverage by 2030. In 2022, Malaria Consortium supported the South Sudan Ministry of Health (MoH) to transition from paper-based to digital LLIN campaigns, with a pilot in two payams in Central Equatoria state. Digitalisation was subsequently scaled up to four additional states. This presentation highlights the innovative aspects of campaign digitalisation in this context, the key achievements, challenges and recommendations for future digitalisation efforts in similar campaigns.
