Perennial malaria chemoprevention is a cost-effective intervention for reducing malaria morbidity and mortality among children under two years in Nigeria and supports policy consideration for national scale-up.

Perennial malaria chemoprevention formerly known as intermittent preventive treatment in infants (IPTi) is a safe and effective intervention to reduce rates of malaria in young children. Determining PMC delivery costs and cost-effectiveness in Nigeria, where delivery is integrated with routine immunisation, is important to inform PMC policy adoption and scale-up.
