According to the World Health Organization (WHO), this disease kills an estimated 1.1 million (18 percent f the total deaths) of children under five every year, which represents more than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined. 60 percent of these deaths occur in just 10 countries in South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa.
