Improving understanding of children's immunity to malaria in seasonal malaria chemoprevention areas
Published:
Resources: Synopsis
We are evaluating how malaria immunity varies among individuals who receive seasonal malaria chemoprevention (SMC) compared with those who do not, informing future studies on the long-term clinical implications for children receiving SMC.
Malaria Consortium and partners will map how receiving SMC affects an individual’s immunity levels over time and profile antibody responses and other immunity adaptations in SMC- and non-SMC-exposed individuals. Read the synopsis to find out more about the methods we are using, as well as the availability of results and potential implications.
