Malaria Consortium is partnering the state ministry of health and county health departments to strengthen health systems and expand access to basic health and nutrition services in Aweil Centre and Aweil South counties, South Sudan.
Malaria Consortium is supporting the implementation of a basic package of health and nutrition services that integrates social and behaviour change communication, using tailored community messaging to promote healthy behaviour and address gender equality issues and gender-based violence. As well as providing training to health workers to improve the quality of patient care, the project team is overseeing infrastructure maintenance and utility provision at selected health facilities.
