In this video, the supervision team try to reach the villages where the distributions are taking place. The district representative explains that the Community Health Workers, who work in pairs, have been separated because of the floods and says that they must now wait at least an hour for the water level to go down.
While adminstering SMC to children under five during the rainy season is a highly effective approach to reducing rates of malaria, there are significant obstacles that hinder the distributions, notably the accessibility of villages, which is made even more complicated with the onset of the rains.
