This study aims to identify effective methods for monitoring the long-term impact of SMC and the key factors that drive programme effectiveness.

An integrated framework combining routine, survey and model data provides a more complete picture of malaria dynamics that reveals SMC to be highly effective at targeting seasonal surges in incidence not addressed by other measures. Strong convergence across models increases confidence in SMC impact estimates.
