We are distributing malaria prevention tools among people in remote forested areas in Cambodia to support malaria elimination.
Hard-to-reach communities are responsible for sustained malaria cases in Cambodia and it is therefore essential that the government reaches people in remote, forested areas for malaria prevention and treatment. Under the Bite Interruption towards Elimination (BITE) project, we are supporting the distribution of vector control tools in forested regions of Mondulkiri province. The BITE research project is supported and led by the University of California, San Francisco’s Malaria Elimination Initiative in partnership with the Cambodia National Center for Parasitology, Entomology, and Malaria Control.
