In 2013, Nigeria’s Ministry of Health launched a National Malaria Strategic Plan and a National NTD Master Plan to achieve pre-elimination of NTDs by 2020. While much progress has been made since, coordinated scale-up is needed to reach elimination. This includes ensuring cost-effectiveness by harnessing the synergies and similarities between malaria and NTD programmes. Therefore, a 2016 school-based pilot assessed the feasibility of co-implementing malaria, NTD and water, sanitation and hygiene interventions.

This poster was presented at the seventh Multilateral Initiative on Malaria Conference in April 2018 in Dakar, Senegal.
