This study was conducted to confirm state eligibility prior to implementation of perennial malaria chemoprevention.

This study was conducted to determine the prevalence of molecular markers of  sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine resistance (dhps K540E) and confirm state eligibility prior to perennial malaria chemoprevention (PMC) implementation. The low prevalence of dhps-540E in Ebonyi and Osun is reassuring, and confirms both states are suitable for PMC implementation.

This presentation was given at the 71st annual meeting of the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
