Our adaptations to our 2020 SMC campaign in Nigeria ensured the continued safe delivery of SMC during the COVID-19 pandemic.

When COVID-19 first emerged, the World Health Organization emphasised the importance of continuing essential services, such as seasonal malaria chemoprevention (SMC). Malaria Consortium made adaptations to its 2020 SMC campaign in Nigeria that not only ensured the ongoing safe delivery of SMC, but also provided a platform to enhance the COVID-19 response. This presentation gives an overiview of our SMC implementation adaptations and shares our achievements and lessons learnt. It was presented at a webinar entitled Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention: New Learnings from Niger, Nigeria and Benin.
