Malaria Consortium US grants are only awarded to Malaria Consortium projects and countries. At this time, MC-US does not accept grant applications outside of the organization.
How grants are awarded
Grants are awarded to Malaria Consortium countries based on where they can have the greatest impact. Grant applications for implementation and research projects, from training community health workers and securing essential medicines to pioneering research on malaria and COVID-19, are aligned with Malaria Consortium’s strategy and seek solutions to global health challenges consistent with our mission.
The MC-US Board of Directors is responsible for awarding grants to Malaria Consortium projects based on the available funds from donations and where they can have the greatest immediate impact.
MC-US follows a clear set of procedures and protocols for grant application, approval, award and reporting.
Grant application and award process
Grants awarded by MC-US support health programs implemented by Malaria Consortium in its host countries. Funding is either restricted for specific programs (such as seasonal malaria chemoprevention or vaccine initiatives) or unrestricted, allowing flexibility to address urgent health needs where they arise.
The Board of Directors rigorously reviews all grant applications against established criteria and available funding before awarding grants that deliver measurable and immediate impact.
MC-US follows a clear set of procedures and protocols for grant application, approval, award and reporting.
