Unite your school to fight malaria
Those in education can have fun and effectively raise funds by incorporating fundraising into your curriculum. You can encourage students to develop important life skills through organising events and raising money to combat malaria and other infectious diseases to help us save the lives of children, families and communities.
Involving teachers, lecturers, students, parents, and the wider school or university community can generate excitement and financial support for Malaria Consortium. By combining different fundraising methods, you can create a comprehensive and engaging fundraising plan that maximises your success in saving lives! |

Students are essential to Malaria Consortium’s work. We work in some of the countries with the highest malaria burden including Ethiopia, Nigeria, Mozambique and Uganda. In 2024 6,700 school students were reached with health talks and debates.
Recognising the crucial role young people can play in sharing knowledge and changing behaviours, we established antimalaria school clubs in 119 schools across southern Ethiopia (formerly the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region).
“Before I came here I knew very little about malaria. I joined the school club and now I share with my family about what I know to keep them free of malaria…
I show [my family] how to hang nets properly and that they must use them every night and keep our home clear of [mosquito] breeding sites.”
Zinagh, student from school in Halaba, Ethiopia.

£1,000 could protect 225 young children from malaria for a year by providing preventative treatment — your fundraising is essential to help children like Zinagh.
