Luke Pearce
Luke began his technology career on a graduate training scheme converting from a background in languages to software engineering.
He spent several years working in Australia for the Commonwealth Bank and then returned to the UK to take up a role with Barclays where he spent 15 years, working in several roles across Data and AI, including supporting a new information business generating corporate and industry insights using customer transaction behaviour.
Luke joined Santander UK in March 2022 as Head of Data Engineering and Platforms, and in January 2023 became the Chief Data Officer leading the Data and Analytics Centre of Excellence where he is responsible for the strategy, execution and delivery of data and analytics capabilities across the bank, including data science and generative AI.
