Creating a private sector market for quality assured RDTs in malaria endemic countries

This project is funded by UNITAID via PSI, and aims at creating a private sector market for quality-assured malaria Rapid Diagnostic Tests (mRDTs) in malaria endemic countries. Of the five African countries selected for implementation, Malaria Consortium is implementing in Nigeria and Uganda through an indirect approach to marketing mRDTs using the 4 “Ps”: product, place, price, promotion that involves collaborating with manufacturers in different service delivery areas as well as providing incentives along the supply chain thereby stimulating the market.
