This project brief describes a study on the demand and supply side barriers to uptake of intermittent preventive treatment in pregnancy (IPTp). Based on the findings of the formative research, an intervention was developed and piloted. The intervention is currently being evaluated in order to assess whether the barriers have been addressed and how the intervention can contribute towards meeting IPTp coverage targets in Uganda.
