Webinar: Catalysing change: The crucial role of philanthropy in eliminating malaria

On 23 April 2024, Malaria Consortium hosted a panel event with leading actors in philanthropy and public health from across Africa to build momentum and action around malaria elimination.

This panel event was hosted during the Multilateral Initiative on Malaria (MIM) Society 8th Pan-African Malaria Conference (#MIM2024) in Kigali from 21 to 29 April 2024, with the Rwanda Ministry of Health and Rwanda Biomedical Centre.

We are privileged to have worked with the MIM Society, Events Factory Rwanda and panellists from Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC), Impact Santé Afrique (ISA), the Rwanda Ministry of Health, GiveWell, and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. A special thanks also to our Chair, Dr Corine Karema (Director of Malaria and NTDs at Quality & Equity HealthCare), and to our other speakers, Professor Rose Gana Fomban Leke (Head of Immunology and Parasitology Department, University of Yaoundé I), and Professor Wilfred Mbacham (Founding Executive Secretary, MIM Society, and Chair of Malaria Consortium's Board of Trustees).
