This poster was presented at the 14th World Congress on Public Health in February 2015 and describes Malaria Consortium's multifaceted communications approach used when introducing malaria rapid diagnostic tests (mRDTs) in 88 health facilities in mid-Western Uganda to ensure uptake by health workers, community members and decision makers. An evaluation of this intervention showed a huge improvement in the parasitological diagnosis and treatment of malaria at the 88 health facilities, and 97% adherence to mRDT test results by health workers.
