Improving neglected tropical disease services and their integration into primary healthcare in Ethiopia

Publication Date:
23/06/2022
Type:
Research brief

Between 2019 and 2021, we carried out a small-scale research study in Southern Nations, Nationalities, and People’s Region that aimed to develop and test an intervention to strengthen the integration of neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) services into Ethiopia’s primary healthcare system. We selected three NTDs that are considered public health priorities in Ethiopia, owing to their endemicity across the country: trachoma, lymphatic filariasis and schistosomiasis.
