This presentation gives an overview of the Mozambique SMC implementation study.

A mid-term review of Mozambique’s Malaria Strategic Plan 2017–2022 recommended seasonal malaria chemoprevention (SMC) as a strategy to accelerate impact in the highest-burden locations. To explore whether SMC is a viable malaria prevention strategy in Mozambique, the National Malaria Control Programme, together with Malaria Consortium, is conducting an implementation study in Nampula province.

This presentation was given at the 70th annual meeting of the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
