Universal health coverage is top of the agenda at the World Health Assembly, which begins in Geneva this week.
Welcome to our May 2019 newsletter
This month, as the World Health Assembly begins in Geneva, we focus on the pursuit of universal health coverage
Embedding universal health coverage in our work
The four core values of universal health coverage - equity, quality, affordability and sustainability - are fundamental to the design and implementation of all Malaria Consortium programmes. Read our new UHC capacity statement by clicking the button below.
Using data to accelerate progress towards UHC - and enable governments, NGOs and other actors to make better decisions - is another topic being discussed in Geneva this week.

Dengue fever is listed as one of the WHO's top 10 diseases to watch in 2019. This week in Geneva, our experts will meet with other advocates to discuss how to progress action against the disease, and establish a World Dengue Day to transform global engagement.
If you're attending the World Health Assembly, you can join the event on 24 May. Click below for more details.
Watch: making dengue control a part of everyday life in Cambodia
Through our latest project on dengue in Cambodia, we introduced two interventions to tackle dengue: a sustainable vector control method using guppy fish, and community education to encourage participation and ownership.
With our partners, we ran a mass distribution of long-lasting insecticidal nets in Uganda in 2017 - in an attempt to achieve universal coverage. Watch the video to find out more.
Help us to do more
With your support, we can help more mothers and children in vulnerable communities around the world to fight malaria through better prevention, diagnostics and treatment.
