This poster discusses a qualitative study undertaken in 2014 across three regions in Myanmar with varying levels of artemisinin resistance to explore preferences and barriers associated with using long lasting insecticidal nets. The study finds knowledge gaps around malaria transmission among community members, migrant workers and forest goers, highlighting the need to improve health awareness to further encourage the use of effective prevention tools.

This poster was presented at the Joint International Tropical Medicine Meeting on 2–4 December 2014.
