Malaria is a major cause of illness and death in Nigeria, where much of the population is vulnerable to the disease. Pregnant women and young children are at particular risk, and 13 highly-populous states account for 42 percent of the country’s average malaria prevalence.
This project aims to strengthen Nigeria’s public health system and reduce malaria to pre-elimination levels by 2020.
