Today marks the 10th anniversary of World Pneumonia Day. Pneumonia continues to be the leading cause of death in children under five worldwide even though it is preventable and treatable. Malaria Consortium’s work on pneumonia focuses on operational research and implementation programmes that evidence best practice in diagnosis and treatment to help inform programme development, global and national policy and investment decisions on pneumonia prevention, control and treatment.
