This webinar 'Developing African research networks and training opportunities for capacity-strengthening in Arbovirus surveillance and response' was a Resilience Against Future Threats (RAFT) Consortium initiative, held with London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine on 21 Sepember 2022, via Zoom.

The webinar, moderated by Malaria Consortium’s Senior Vector Control Specialist and Co-Chair of Asia Pacific Malaria Elimination Network (APMEN) Vector Control Working Group (VCWG), Dr Leo Braack, examined the state-of-readiness of Africa to confront current and future arbovirus threats. This included five introductory expert presentations from Dr Raman Velayudhan, Dr Emmanuel Chanda, Dr Gildas Yahouedo, Dr Florence Fouque, Prof. Marietjie Venter and Dr Udoka Chukwubuofu Nwangwu, a panel discussion and breakout group exercises.
