Our approach

Malaria Consortium Public Health Communication (PHC) aims to ensure that where Malaria Consortium works individuals, including those who are marginalised, are informed and meaningfully engaged in order to access quality health services, practice preventive health behaviours and realise their rights.

Malaria Consortium PHC Community of Practice supports community and institutional structures to engage in continuous learning to enable social action for better health for all. The PHC CoP achieves this through the design, evaluation and scaling of quality, impactful and sustainable community engagement and social and behavioural change strategies. These strategies ensure that resources reach the most in-need, improve demand for services, and ensure sustainability of programmes by empowering individuals to be proactive in taking care of their health. This is accomplished by undertaking an iterative participatory design process with key stakeholders in order to develop tailored strategic communication interventions.
