There are over 1.5 billion cases of childhood diarrhoeal diseases every year, making them the second leading cause of death of children under five. Diarrhoeal diseases are caused by contaminated water or food, or by poor hygiene and sanitation practices

This film is the first of two that demonstrate the importance of bringing management of common but potentially dangerous childhood illnesses, including diarrhoea, to the community level.
