Malaria Consortium December newsletter: Dengue edition 

It has been a busy time for Malaria Consortium's dengue projects. Over the last month our experts have presented at a parliamentary Dengue Round Table event in London, the American Society of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene's 65th annual meeting (ASTMH) in Atlanta, the Joint International Tropical Medicine Meeting (JITMM) in Bangkok and a dissemination and policy uptake workshop in Phnom Penh.

On 30th November Malaria Consortium convened a high-level round table event at the UK Parliament to discuss our report Dengue: Falling between the cracks. The event drew a mixture of MPs as well as representatives from the World Health Organization, the Department for International Development, academia and the private sector.

American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene 65th annual meeting

This year's 65th annual ASTMH meeting was held in Atlanta, USA. The event drew a range of stakeholders from academic, government, NGO's, and the private sector. Malaria Consortium gave a number of presentations. See the schedule here.

Joint International Tropical Medicine Meeting 

JITMM is Southeast Asia's pre-eminent tropical medicine conference. This years conference was held in Bangkok Thailand with the theme 'Uncover Asian Tropical Medicine'.

Dissemination and policy uptake workshop: Phnom Penh

On 1 December Malaria Consortium organised the Dengue Integrated Vector Management dissemination and policy uptake workshop in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The event was a great success and attracted around 70 national and international participants, whose engagement contributed towards strong evidence-based policy recommendations to the Cambodian government.
