Global advocacy

We engage with global and UK focused advocacy groups to ensure that malaria and other communicable diseases remain high on the global health agenda.

Globally, we are members of the RBM Partnership to End Malaria and we participate in numerous technical working groups and partnership committees. These include the Strategic Communications Partners Committee, the Advocacy & Resource Mobilisation Partner Committee, and the Monitoring and Evaluation Working Group (of which we are a co-chair).

We work closely with the World Health Organization (WHO) and have been members of multiple WHO Technical Expert Groups under the auspices of the Malaria Policy Advisory Committee. We frequently contribute to and review various WHO publications, and we were cited for our work in the 2019 World Malaria Report.

In the UK, we are a member of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Malaria and NTDs, through which we are able to present our work to parliamentarians and colleagues  to share knowledge and foster parliamentary champions.

We are also part of Action for Global Health UK (AfGH), through which we monitor the UK's role in global health and advocate to ensure that the UK government, NGOs and other key stakeholders uphold their commitment to achieving health for all by 2030, as outlined in Sustainable Development Goal 3.
