60-second learning: Evaluating pneumonia diagnostics

A 60-second introduction to Malaria Consortium's new learning paper: Evaluating pneumonia diagnostic aids. Kevin Baker, pneumonia diagnostics programme coordinator, presents.

Diagnosing pneumonia can be very difficult. Malaria Consortium's pneumonia diagnostics study aimed to assess different respiratory rate timers and pulse oximeters, based on accuracy, acceptability, scalability and user-friendliness. The project took place in four countries: Cambodia, Ethiopia, South Sudan and Uganda. Over the course of the study, important lessons were learnt about effective implementation and best practice, and we shared these in our learning paper.
