Malaria Consortium in collaboration with Medicine for Malaria Ventures (MMV) and the Government of Nigeria implemented the project on Improving Severe Malaria Outcomes (ISMO), funded by UNITAID between July and and June 2016 to reduce mortality from severe malaria through the accelerated global adoption of injectable artesunate.
The project attained adoption of injectable artesunate for severe malaria treatment across three states in Nigeria, with many patients treated and cured. This document highlights some of the success stories from the project.
