What is your relevant experience?
Local lead investigator in the study to investigate accuracy and safety in the use of Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDTs) by Community Health Workers.
Why are you passionate about tackling malaria?
Unlike other major diseases in Sub Sahara Africa (HIV/AIDS or TB), Malaria is the easiest to reduce because it can easily be prevented (with Insecticide treated nets (ITNs), Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) and Intermittent Preventative Treatment in pregnancy (IPTp) interventions) and can also be treated early (with use of Artemisinin-based combination therapy, ACTs).
What is special to you about the Malaria Consortium?
The fact that Malaria Consortium targets and helps communities which are hard to reach.
