Malaria Consortium is the world’s leading not for profit dedicated to malaria control. Our main country offices and programmes implement comprehensive malaria control activities in six countries: Uganda, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Mozambique, Southern Sudan, and Zambia. We have smaller operations in several other African countries, and also in Thailand and Cambodia. Our head office is in London, UK. In Southern Sudan Malaria Consortium provides support to the Ministry of Health (MoH) of the Government of South Sudan (GoSS) through providing technical support for the development of policies, guidelines, and strategies, carrying out surveys and deliver targetted training to strengthen quality of care of government staff in health facilities. In 2010 Malaria Consortium is scaling up its clinical programmes considerably. This includes rapid improvements in access to care through community fever management programming as well as focussed support to health facilities. The primary communicable diseases we work on currently include malaria, pneumonia, diarrhoea, neglected tropical diseases (including Kala-Azar). We intend to broaden our work to include TB control and nutrition programming and we are seeking a dynamic person with a wide range of clinical experience who can provide technical support to MC’s programme team.

The Malaria Consortium is an international organisation working primarily in Africa and Asia on communicable disease control. The Malaria Consortium works closely with Ministries of Health (MoH) and partners and is involved in all aspects of malaria control, from policy and strategy development to implementation, monitoring, evaluation and research. The Malaria Consortium also works on tuberculosis control and other communicable diseases, including neglected tropical diseases. Malaria Consortium provides comprehensive technical services and ensures its projects have high level technical oversight. Its approach is to support national systems wherever possible and to improve programmes through rigorous monitoring, evaluation and operational research. The Malaria Consortium’s head office is in London, UK and the Africa Regional Office is in Kampala, Uganda. There are several country offices in Africa and a new regional office in Thailand.
