Sarah Veilex is a senior lawyer with a global bank, in London. She has been their in-house legal counsel for nearly ten years and currently works on strategic projects. In her strategic project's role, Sarah is responsible for implementing key legal and regulatory changes across the bank's London operations, which requires a depth of knowledge of the bank's policy framework, systems, processes and people on a local and cross border basis. Prior to being in-house counsel, Sarah worked in private practice at multi-national law firms in Sydney, Shanghai and London.
Sarah's early career was in health campaigns and policy for women affected by HIV/AIDS. She worked in this capacity for seven years.
Sarah was motivated to join Malaria Consortium as a volunteer Trustee, by her desire to improve the lives of socially and economically vulnerable women and children.
