Dr Kolawole Maxwell is a Community Health Physician with over two decades of experience in planning and managing health activities at community, facility and policy levels. Core expertise includes primary health care including patient care management, health systems strengthening, health sector reform management, institutional development, behavioural change communication, community engagement in health, and malaria control. He joined Malaria Consortium in 2008 as Deputy Programme Director of SuNMaP, being later promoted to Programme Director. In October 2012, he became the first Country Director for Malaria Consortium. He is currently Malaria Consortium's West and Central Africa Programmes Director, providing support and oversight to all regional country directors. He also remains in charge of the Nigeria Country Programme.
